Caring and dedicated people are drawn to, and successful in, the long-term care industry. We are proud of the great diversity in cultures, religions, educational and professional experiences, and ages that grace our communities. Each staff member brings their own unique talents and servant attitude when they come to work. Here are just a few of the great people who serve Chancellor’s seniors.
Donna Fuller-Archer leads the Clackamas View Senior Living team with her personal philosophy that every individual deserves high standard, quality care and to live amongst a community of family who genuinely care. All should be treated with utmost respect and to live life, not exist. Laughter is a crucial part of daily living and joy can be found in the smallest of moments. The "smile" is a universal language everyone can understand. Honesty, respect, compassion and quality care is something she passionately believes in.
Donna brings over a decade of administrative experience in assisted living and memory care to our community. Her multi-faceted medical background, business development and community relations experience has grown her into the strong leader she is today. She has worked in Oregon, Idaho and Louisiana. She was called back to Oregon to join her growing family. Donna has one daughter and one son. When not spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren and dogs, Donna enjoys gardening, hiking, bike riding and camping. A surprising detail about Donna is that she wanted to be a Ranger for the forest service.
Donna feels that Chancellor Health Care has the foundation and philosophy she believes in - residents first! In her new role at Clackamas View she looks forward to working together to improve the quality of life for our residents and watch the staff grow in confidence and knowledge through training and a sense of value.
Meet Jan Potter, RN - Her personal philosophy is to not take yourself too seriously, spend as much time in the outdoors as you can, cherish your friends and family and make wonderful memories for the next generation.
Jan comes to us with a nursing background of 41 years. She worked at the Oregon State Hospital for 30 years. Her first job was as a nurse’s aide when she was 16 years old. When she was just 4 years old she decided she wanted to be a Red Cross nurse. Her aunt sewed a little candy striper uniform for her, complete with a nurses cap. She has always enjoyed caring for others and working with aging adults, and sharing in their journey through life. She is a native Oregonian, having spent the first 13 years of her life on Hill Road in Milwaukie, which is right by Clackamas View Senior Living. She now lives in Mulino, a small farming community south or Oregon City. She and her husband have 5 acres and enjoy the benefits of country living. Jan loves to sew, and has designed many gowns over the years. Jan is known to spend time in the mountains and the beach alongside her rescue dog, Bindi. She plays the Ukulele in a music group once weekly. In her younger days, she was a steer chasing, barrel racing cowgirl.
Jan looks forward to making connections within Clackamas View and bringing happiness and joy to our residents alongside her nursing care. She strives to challenge herself to learn new things and to meet new people. Giving to others and to our community is how she defines success. Jan will help others to pursue what makes them happy, with an eye for life enrichment.
